The Groom's Story
Alan Richard is a big heart in a small town. He was born in Niles, Michigan April 6, 1981 but grew up in the near-by town of Dowagiac. He, too, graduated from Purdue University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Technology. After school, Alan completed an aviation internship flying the Purdue Beachjet in Lafayette, IN. Upon completion, Alan returned to MI where he worked in aviation maintenance. In October 2004, Alan was offered a position to fly for Image Air, LLC, a corporate charter company who operated out of Warsaw, IN. He quickly accepted the position and relocated to Indiana. At the end of July 2007, Alan was offered an opportunity to fly with Biomet Orthopaedics full time. He was eager to make the transition from charter to corporate and hopes to establish a career with the orthopaedic company.
